Rates + Policies tab

Please call me to discuss rates for services, as I do provide a risk-free 15-minute consultation for my services. My standard rate for services is $120 for each 53-minute session including individual, couples, or family therapy. Sessions can be held more than once per week, weekly, or every other week. Scheduling options are discussed in greater detail during your Initial Session. Cash, Check, or Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, & American Express). A 2.7% swipe fee, or 3.7% + $0.15 key in fee, will be added for credit card payments.

I do not take any insurance plans. However, you may be able to get reimbursement from your insurance depending on your type of plan. Most insurance plans allow their members to see out-of-network providers and allow a percentage of the fee for reimbursement. Often, they will reimburse at up to 70% of the session fee.

The best way to see if you can get some coverage for our session is the call your insurance company and ask them the following questions:

  1. Does my plan allow me to see out-of-network providers?
  2. Do I have to meet a deductible before coverage is provided?
  3. What percentage of my therapy fee will be reimbursed to me?
  4. Is there a visit limit for my sessions if there is coverage?
  5. Do I get different coverage for diagnoses that are considered “serious mental disorders” or “parity diagnosis”?
  6. Where do I mail my claim to receive reimbursement? Is there a specific form the insurance company provides or can I use the paperwork provided by my therapist?

If you find that you have insurance coverage, I will provide you with a documentation to assist you in getting reimbursement directly from your insurance company. In the event you require a receipt for services rendered, I will provide either a printed or digital receipt for personal use, insurance reimbursement, Flex Spending Accounts (FSA), and Health Savings Accounts (HSA). Clients are responsible to pay me my rate at the end of each session.

Cancellation Policy
If you cannot attend a scheduled meeting, I require a 24 hour notice for cancellation. If you cancel a meeting without 24 hours notice, I may require you to pay for the full cost of the session due to the late cancellation.

Privacy Policy
Your therapy and the content of what we talk about is confidential. I will not disclose information to outside parties without your prior written permission.  There are certain situations in which I am required by law to reveal information obtained in therapy without your permission. These situations are:

  1. The law requires me to report suspected child abuse or elder/dependent abuse to the appropriate authorities for investigation.
  2. If you are a danger to yourself or others, I am ethically bound to protect your life or intended victims by contacting the authorities and/or emergency services.
  3. If you are in therapy by order of a court of law or you are involved in a court proceeding, a judge can order that your therapy records be disclosed if it is relevant to the proceedings.
  4. If you would like to give me permission to communicate with other parties (family, friend, doctor, etc.), please go the Forms section of this site and print out the Release of Information Form. Fill out the form and bring it to our next session and I will make arrangements with you to communicate with your designated party.
