I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I have professional experience working in various settings with children, adolescents, and adults regarding a number of issues including addiction, adoption, sexual abuse, family counseling, and counseling for children and teens.

As your counselor I offer you the freedom and privacy to discuss issues that are often painful or difficult to discuss with family or friends. I invite you to communicate your expectations and provide ongoing feedback so that we are working together and making positive progress toward your goals. Our sessions are designed for your benefit and growth. During our time together, I will listen to your needs and concerns, and help you craft a plan for positive change.

My approach to psychotherapy is to explore and process patterned thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that inhibit well-being. I believe that through exploring how our past affects our present and looking at the patterns we tend to repeat, one can gain insight and a sense of empowerment and control over their current circumstances and life situation. Together we will seek to identify the root causes of your concerns, so we can establish a practical plan to overcome those challenges and help you find hope and healing.

Some of my practice approaches are based on the following theories: Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytic, Object Relations, Attachment, Systems, Cognitive Behavioral, Family Systems Theory, Strategic and Structural Family Therapy.
